He that is down needed fear no fall
He that is low, no pride
He that is humble ever shall
Have God to be his guide

I am content with what I have
Little be it or much
And, Lord, contentment still I crave
Because thou savest, such.
– John Bunyan (1628 – 88).

About 7 days ago, about 3 hours after I made public my genuine advice to Senator Godswill Akpabio, I received a call from the former Governor, Akpabio, himself. The man was furious, extremely furious with me for writing what he called “insult and destructive article” about him. He vowed to go extra miles to deal with me, especially as he recalled how I used Global Concord in the past against him and his Government. He said he had alerted “security” agencies to track me down… He didn’t give me the chance to talk, only that I was able to tell him that if he was referring to my last article about him that I’m afraid he didn’t read it before he came to roar and barked at me. His utterances that day advertised him as one of those who only read the cover page of Global Concord Newspaper and run to town with stories that can never be found in any page of the Paper (I may be wrong). Can the dethroned Senator points to any libellous statement in the said piece?

Anyway, I’m not bothered about Akpabio’s threats because they will always come insofar as he has not been able to explain why he could not build 31 industries which were captured in his so-called BUDGET OF INDUSTRIALIZATION in 2012. Senator Akpabio will bark all he wants, and threaten me as usual unless he is able to tell me why IBOM TROPICANA has not seen the light of day after all the money budgeted for it had been removed upfront from the State’s coffers, and supplementary sum appropriated for it, and also removed from the treasury. Of course, many other issues in the State are calling for Akpabio’s series of threats. WHO CARES?

Between 2008 and 2015 I was not only threatened by Akpabio but I saw it all. I was hunted by his “security agents”. I was severally chased out of my numerous apartments and I finally found refuge at Calabar. So, what’s new about Akpabio’s threats? If he could threaten me as a Governor without success, will he succeed to do that now that GLORY HAS DEPARTED FROM HIM? He told me last Friday that he was going to face me ” man and man, one on one”. I’m here, Sir.Image may contain: 1 person, closeup

Since the threat didn’t suffice, Senator Akpabio immediately resorts to blackmails. What condescension! He sponsored some beggars to write that “I am envious of Akpabio”. Why should I envy a man whose character is luciferous? To envy is to want other places, and I can’t fathom becoming like Akpabio who has polarized the State with his nepotism and clannishness. I can’t be capitalistic like Akpabio, and I can’t humiliate my fellow Akwa Ibom people just because I am opportune. In fact, there are many other negative Akpabios in Akpabio that I don’t like to be associated with, hence, the issue of envy of Akpabio is idiotic!

Still on envy, the disjointed article under reference, purportedly written by one Abasiandikan Nkono goes on to state that “on 28 May 1968 (51 years ago), 53 illustrious sons/political leaders/core intelligentsia of Akwa Ibom origin were publicly slaughtered at Uyo Circus (now Ibom Plaza) before school children – others were killed en masse and dumped in mass graves and ravines around the land for holding a different political view before and during the civil war”, and that the same envy/ hatred is what propelled me to want to “shot down Akpabio by all means”; AND I ASK: AM I FROM IKOT EKPENE SENATORIAL DISTRICT? DID I ASK AKPABIO TO LEAVE THE KNOWN TO THE UNKNOWN? DID I ASK AKPABIO TO FISH POLITICAL ENEMIES FOR HIMSELF ACROSS THE COUNTRY? DID I START HIS WAR WITH AMAECHI, SARAKI, ETC? DID I ASK HIM TO INSULT GENERAL BUHARI IN 2015? AKPABIO SHOT HIMSELF AT THE FEET!

Citing John 4:44, the author of that inordinate article seems to suggest that Akpabio is honoured and respected across the country or in other parts of the country than in his home state, and I ask BY WHO? There is a great difference between bought honour and deserved honour. While as the Governor, Akpabio used our common patrimony to buy awards and honours. He received more than 4 Honorary Doctorate Degrees from four Universities across the country. He bought an award from the US Congress Woman, he spent Millions of Naira on Nollywood, etc. He bought awards/honours from Emirs, Obas, Market women, churches, Traditional rulers, etc. He funded Nnamdi Azikiwe University, Awka and bought buses for the varsity for awards while our own universities were grown with grasses. Shame on such honours! The bought honours by Akpabio were spells in the eyes of Nigerians, and they’ve long thrown them to the pigs because what is not of God cannot stand.

The Akpabio’s rejoinder also insinuates that whether as Governor or Senator, Akpabio has given people reasons not to forget him. THIS IS TRUE! How can people forget a man who manned a regime where people were killed and kidnapped like frogs? How can people forget in a hurry about 300 people that were kidnapped, and about 40 that were brutally killed between 2007 and 2014? How can we forget that he did nothing to curb the menace of kidnapping and poverty in the land despite Billions of Naira in his control? No, we can’t forget!

It is very insulting for Senator Akpabio, through his conversation with me, and through the sponsored rejoinder, to insinuate that I am sponsored to write against him. How? In the so-called rejoinder, he insinuates that I am sponsored by Senator Akpanudoedehe. This is irrational! From the very first time, I met Udoedehe till now he has never sponsored any of my writings. I am a very independent person who doesn’t need help or guidance from anybody. In 2015 I supported Umana Umana (after nomination, though) against Udoedehe’s interest. I stood my grounds, and we parted ways. I write what I feel like writing, but in the best interest of Akwa Ibom people. Senator Akpabio also threatened me that “after insulting him, I WILL WANT HIM TO SUPPORT MY GOVERNORSHIP ASPIRANT IN 2023”. Wow! How does he know who I will support in 2023?

I laughed uncontrollably when I read the paragraph in that disjointed rejoinder that “Senator Udoedehe recently approached Senator Akpabio with a proposal purportedly written by Thomas Thomas, the Publisher of Global Concord Newspaper”. Thank God the author of that rejoinder uses the word ” purportedly”, meaning he is not sure if it’s true. He goes on to state that Thomas Thomas et al, besides pledging a termination of the media attacks on Akpabio, also promised to henceforth take up Akpabio’s reputation management. That I and my colleagues made this proposal due to dwindling sales of Global Concord and demanded that Akpabio should instead be funding the paper to the tune of N20 Million monthly. That Akpabio turned down the purported proposal and told Udoedehe that he was not interested in 2023 governorship or in Ministerial position. HABA! This is hogwash! Me, Thomas Thomas? Maybe another member of Global Concord has done that without my knowledge because as far as I’m concerned I see nothing good in Akpabio’s bruised image… I did not get a dime from Akpabio as a Governor, is it now that I will? He should rather keep the money to bribe the EFCC and not me. To hell with his stolen cash!

It is insulting for a man who came to Akwa Ibom Government in a night bus, and allegedly stolen every available kobo and brought down prominent Ibibio sons, to say I came begging for money. I will advise him to always look at the face of any person he deals with so that he will not come to the public and disgrace himself as he does. I will never befriend Akpabio… LEST I FORGET, 1ST JULY IS AROUND THE CORNER!

As 57,000 Results Came Out For Kidnapping and Assassination Relating To The Ukana Man Known As Warsaw Or Judas, Ichabod.
One of the headlines read:
Nigeria: ‘Akwa-Ibom Recorded 1000 Politically Motivated Crimes with Killings in 8 Years of Godswill Akpabio.
Leave a good legacy so that posterity will reckon well with you.

The time Akpabio was killing, maiming and kidnapping people as well as destroying people’s business were you not alive to advise him? In those headlines capturing Akpabio’s atrocities, did you see my name that I wrote any? I will continue to research and bring to bear the wickedness of bad people in Akwa Ibom State and Nigeria so that others will learn and refrain from committing havoc. There’s nothing anybody will do to me. Simple!

You need not wait for anything that you already know the truth about. Nobody wants to bring Godswill Akpabio down. He’s the one bringing himself down with his double standard, fraudulent traits and violent nature. He is a traitor, Judas and devil incarnate. A killer per excellence!
What evidence are you asking for as if you were not around when Albert Ukpanah challenged Akpabio about his senatorial ambition, the following month, Akpabio sent his killer squad to murder him in his house then falsely accused his son Odudu Ukpanah. Odudu was incarcerated for almost a year. Oyong Asuquo, Akpabio’s friend whom Akpabio disagreed with on political issues, the next day Asuquo was killed in broad daylight.
The Paramount Ruler of Nsit Ubium and Oku Ibom Ibibio, HRM, Obong Robert Obot, who openly opposed Akpabio’s second term bid on account of Akpabio’s ethnic bigotry and refusal spread projects in other local government areas, within a week, Akpabio sent gunmen who slaughtered him.
So sad again to behold, an Ibibio son who’s based Europe, Iniekong Udonwa indicated his interest to run for Governor against Akpabio, when he arrived home to launch his campaign, Akpabio sent gunmen to his kill. They shot several bullets at him. Though he escaped by whiskers, he did not go unscathed. He sustained injuries from multiple gunshots. Akpabio became furious and redirected the gunmen to kill his elderly mother. The old woman was dragged naked on the streets, murdered and dismembered.
Gloria Udo, the lady who befriended one of the killers who was police and bodyguard to Akpabio was a witness to the crime. Akpabio ordered the police to kill her to erase traces.
Nsima Ekere’s father recently published a memoir of his kidnapping experience as a victim, he did not only accused former Governor Godswill Akpabio of orchestrating his kidnapping and torture, he challenged Akpabio to dare to deny it.
Captain Sam Enwang, was a victim of Akpabio’s kidnapping spree.
The list is endless. Let Akpabio go to any level that he wants, but we no longer want him in our state for next level killing or kidnapping which Akpabio is notorious for.
The Akpabio’s phantom development stride you’re talking about. I’ll respond to that soonNo photo description available. No photo description available. No photo description available.

Akpabio Needs To Make Peace With His Enemies.

“He should try to reach out personally to those whom he has hurt ( or even hurt him), make a time to wine and dine with them”

Godswill Akpabio, Akwa Ibom State Governor.

Gov Akpabio has barely nine months to vacate the Hilltop Mansion. He might be painting a very horrendous picture of himself in his last lap of his administration. This should be a period of recompense, reparation and restitution; not vendetta!Akpabio‘s advisers are not doing him any justice by trying to make him look very bad at this time of his “good bye to all that”. If after seven years of Thomas purported vituperation and ‘mutiny’ , nothing happened to him, is this the time for payback?

He should try to reach out personally to those whom he has hurt ( or even hurt him), make a time to wine and dine with them. It is no longer time for his man’s Friday to take the front burner. Sycophancy should be trashed by now. Soon he will be an ordinary person, apart from his bullet proof cars, his security will be trimmed, SSS and the dark glasses boys will no longer walk beside his car. It is time for his critics too to shield swords!

But one problem is, his imposition agenda would not let this happen! Even if it is Akpbio’s mother that will take over from him, she will not take instruction from Akpabio after six months! During the first three years of his emergence, I was his big fan! I lauded his generosity and pragmatism. I turned one of his critics when paranoid sycophants turned his administration into money making venture, snitching, blackmailing, spying and even killing sometimes, oblivious of his thoughts. Today what I’m I doing? Watching with my Ishiewu! Of course, there is God oohhhh!! #FreeThomasThomasNow!

Threat to Akpabio’s Life: Dr. Ime Umanah Wins Again.

6 Jul

BY NDON ASIAN

The Akwa Ibom State Government found itself at a cross road in the ongoing trial of Dr. Ime Sampson Umanah as Hon. Justice Ifiok Ukana ruled to reject the statement of the first accused person in the trial within trial. This is the second time that the same statement has been ruled upon and marked “rejected” in a second trial within trial.

Akpabio and Ime Umanah.

The first was by the Honourable State Chief Judge, Hon. Justice Idongesit Ntem Isua, whose earlier ruling has now been vindicated. Hon. Justice Ukana in a detailed and very well considered ruling captured every argument, evidence led, cross examination and important issues relevant to arriving at the conclusion in the mini-trial. Much of what rendered the case of the state against Ime Umanah and Ikemesit Iyire in the trial within trial hopelessly doomed included evidence of what transpired at the place of arrest of DW 1 (Mr. Ikemesit Iyire) before the departure from Ikot Ekpene to Uyo and inside the bus, which were not challenged nor contradicted.

It is instructive to observe that throughout the trial within trial the state either failed or neglected to have any of the operatives who effected the arrest of the first accused testify as one of its witnesses.

Again, the Court noted that the only version of event which transpired before and after DW1 was taken before the state Director of SSS is that of DW1, concluding that the state failed to cross-examine DW1 in respect of his narration of the event, that is the meeting with the Director. “The prosecution is divided as to whether the two pages of the statement are in the same ink. There is no evidence from the prosecution particularly PW1 (Uche Nwokolo) who said he supervised the taking of the statement that as the statement was being written by DW1 he encountered problem with the writing material he was using.

That evidence should have come from him but he did not offer any such explanation”, the Court pointed out on the issue of different shades of ink on the two pages of the alleged confessional. On the mutilated date on the confessional statement form signed by PW 3 (DSP Moses Eno), the Court had the following to say, “I have looked at the said confessional statement form. Directly after PW3 signature is his rank DSP next to it is the mutilated date. It shows a superimposition of 5 on 3 with 2 in front of 5 to achieve 25.

Thereafter you find a doctoring of 0 to 1 with another 1 in front obviously to change 11 to 10, all to present to this Court 25/10/2010 as against 3/11/2010. I have said that every document speaks for itself. What the confessional statement form has spoken with respect to the date written by PW3 is that it is mutilated, changed from 3/11/2010 to 25/10/2010”. And for the second time PW3 was said not to be a truthful witness. “Using this to assess the evidence of PW3 is without wasting words, is to say that PW3 is not a witness of truth. I cannot believe him”, the Court noted.

On the urge by lead defense counsel, Samuel Ikpo Esq. that the Court should expunge the evidence of Uche Nwokolo from the record of proceedings in the trial within trial, Justice Ukana ruled that “PW1 was listed as a witness in the main trial to that extent he could be accommodated in the trial within a trial. However given his reaction to the statement filed along with the notice of additional evidence on 12/7/2013 where PW1 distanced himself from the statement credited to him PW1 cannot be the person through whom any document considered fit can be admitted as exhibit in the main trial”. In the end the Court held that, “Arising from the totality of the foregoing I hold that the statement of the 1st accused person who is DW1 in this trial which statement is dated 25/10/2010 was not voluntary. It was a product of inducement. If the statement of 25/10/2010 is not voluntary, the confessional statement form cannot validate it and cloth it with a toga of voluntariness given its own problem.

Consequently the statement credited to the 1st accused and dated 25/10/2010 and the confessional statement form shall both be marked rejected”. The ruling has not only laid to rest the controversy which surrounded the statement but has additionally limited the options of the state to four. The state may proceed to appeal in what may certainly amount to an exercise in delay and waste of time or it may continue into the main trial without any exhibit to found a conviction.

The state may also wish, as a face saving measure, to enter a nully prosecui through the Attorney General, to discontinue the case or commence the trial afresh in another Court, but this option may be impossible to explain to Court why there should be no end to litigation. Speaking shortly after the ruling one Daniel Uko from Abak among the many consistent faces that had followed this trial who spoke with Weekly Insight praised the boldness and forthrightness of the Judge whom he described as “very intelligent and acting without fear or favour”. Uko also praised the defense team particularly Samuel Ikpo Esq. and wondered why the government should not read “the handwriting on the wall and save itself from the embarrassment of losing after this many years in court”, to withdraw. The state was represented by Mary Okobo (Mrs) while Samuel Ikpo Esq led a team of seven layers for the defense.

Udom Emmanuel Still The Puppet Master

Dear Essien Ndueso,
A lot of people went through what I wrote . The fact of the matter is that I have received a lot of very positive reviews from people based on this. In the past I would become highly agitated by your failure to understand. However, we are familiar with you and we know how you interpret stuff. Those who got the point did. If you didn’t that’s just too bad. In your attempts to lash out you need to really review how you use words. Castigate?
You may be in denial but we know, minus greed, what the state of affair is for so many people out there. It is beyond you or me or big words like “Castigate”.
Not everybody is a big shot like you ” Personal Assistant to the King in Media” . A lot of us are hardworking people with a clear view of the condition in which the masses exist in.

Clayton Udoh.

My friend, my views are not something we need to argue about . I am entitled to them .
Just like your argument that the SSG is so qualified that there should be no elections and he should just be given the office of the Governor of Akwa Abasi Ibom State ,so do I also bring forward my ridiculous statement (in your opinion), that Albert Bassey suffered to get clean running water like the rest of us and others do, till this day in the state . I wrote stupid stuff like he understands how unemployment can be like, especially in times when there was no Internet to use and praise your way into a job (if you know what I mean) . I understand how ridiculous it is when I say that Udom cannot connect with the people like Albert Bassey. I understand how my admiration of Albert Bassey is ridiculous to you . I wrote stupid stuff like he didn’t have a generator once like most of you do to augment the failure of Ibom Power Plant to ever supply electric power to the masses . I also understand your argument that  anybody who is sane should follow “My Leader” and the SSG blindly.
However ,Essien Ndueso in my ridiculous state of mind, there is a love for Akwa Abasi Ibom state that I have that transcends all possible scenarios you will ever imagine and that includes my distaste for the “leader” installing a Puppetmaster/Stooge for the benefits of the likes of you.
I am rather interested in a clean democratic process being established that is devoid of any kind of dynasty like we see in highly retrogressive societies. The people of Akwa Ibom State in my opinion are greater than you and the SSG and “The Leader” combined and in my opinion their silence does not mean they are living to their full potential .
Udom Emmanuel may be busy pushing forward the ” Machineries of government” but the masses will determine if that’s the truth or not  and not a man like you who lives in a bubble of praise and worship.
Let’s get one thing right ,as an Akwa Ibom son (which you gladly identified me as) my primary duty is to ensure that all candidates will be vetted completely and that Udom Emmanuel will be thoroughly scrutinized before he is allowed to dance into the Hilltop mansion. This is very essential in this day and age,in which your friends (Godswill Akpabio) have assassinated, imprisoned and driven into exile all the people who would have something tangible to say about this candidate and the main populace cowers in fear of of following their conscience. That you identify such scrutiny and true analysis of this individual as bringing him down is regrettable.
We have enough time to bring more information about Albert Bassey,as you in subsequent days will have time to go after every person that will question the candidature of Udom Emmanuel.
In the mean time remain blessed.
Cheers

Open Letter To Akwa Ibom Tribalists.

10 May

By Clayton “Bane” Udoh

Clayton Udoh

I am speaking to a large swath of people both in Akwa Abasi Ibom State and in Diaspora. A group of people, whose self-worth comes from discrimination of others based on tribe.

Their utterances distinguish them from the true thinkers and movers of the society. In my eyes they stand out like man-eating crocodiles. The stink more than elephants, that have not jumped into the river in a month. They are the ultimate “time criminals” because they prevent us from moving successfully into the future. They are everything but progressive or enterprising or dynamic.

These people have God’s mercy in that the bile in them is contained by a society weighed down by the worst level of economic inequality. A society that needs financial stimuli badly, for the common man.

The beauty of tribe is for the purpose of identity that really comprises who we are as a people. However when it is used for discrimination, it becomes odious and totally useless to mankind.

So I cannot live my life with the knowledge that I may not comprise of the major tribes in Nigeria or that Annang in the minds of the imbeciles is inferior to Ibibio or that I am the last in a Hierarchy in the USA (White man then White woman then Black women then the Hispanic question and last is the Black man). Does no good, to my welfare, or that of the people of Akwa Abasi Ibom State at large.

One thing that is interesting is the evolution we are seeing in the political theater of AKS. An Ibibio man/woman has no problem sending assassins to another Ibibio man he thinks has politically gotten in his way. Same goes for Annang. Same goes for interaction of Ibibio with Annang and vice versa. So where is the stability in your stupid tribal platform? The tribal rants you blow from your mouth, in which you have not brushed your teeth for three days, may not even save your life in certain scenarios among your own so why are you heaving bile in the name of reasoning?

Let’s get one thing right ,for all the tribalist, out there, Godswill Akpabio is the worst thing that could have happened to most of you .An Annang man attempting to bring in development ? An Annang governor who made some of you realize that there is something greater than your selfish desires to always use government money to buy undies for your wives? Even though I am not a great fan of the Governor myself ,I can see why some of youdegenerates andperverts with Doctorate degrees and Professorships would say things that make kids look brilliant just to bring down someone based on tribe.

With all your education for how long can Akwa Abasi Ibom State exist on the count of tribe? Hasn’t it finally been proven to you class of degenerates that what matters is the content of a man’s character and not his tribe which nowadays is just a name? Tribe does not assure one of financial success, educational acumen or spiritual morality or ability to administer to a people.

So now that we are going into the twilight of this present administration and the evident installation of a new one, let the schizophrenic tribalists both home and abroad understand that the next administration cannot waste its time with the stupid “revenge of Ibibio agenda”! Too many of our people, are suffering and wasting a lifetime trying to figure out their survival while the morons are blowing the tribe trumpet.

The present system is unsustainable because we cannot have a governor who tries to pay out all of the state and has an army of praise singers behind him for the sake of his survival. So we need the structures in place that will bring prosperity to our people. For the amenities are useless if the people do not possess the spending power to use them. I do not care how grand the idea is; the people must patronize the industries and all forms of infrastructure and pay for the supplies of goods and services. How on earth does tribalism contribute to this?

For example, at this very period, any candidate who wants to ride into the hilltop mansion on a wave of Tribalism is a Hedgehog to me. Do not give a damn about his/her tribal affiliations.

However I am betting on the bush men to create Ubom Enyong Ibibio Association or Ikwa Annang Organisation for a political candidate. Meanwhile we will never see a Facebook or YouTube video file of this person introducing their manifesto to the Akwa Abasi Ibom people. Minus their money can they even speak English? How do we expect a candidate not to act like Caesar when they were never required to address the people whom they are trying to become lords over?

The greatest resistance of change nowadays comes from bush men in Diaspora. They will never insist in the candidates releasing manifestos or video files or persuasive speeches on why they are the right candidate.

People will come over to me and say vote Assam Assam and I ask why? Well he is Ibibio and he is dynamic. How? (Silence).

Vote for Albert Bassey or whatever his name is! Why? Well he served in the last government and is Ibibio. And?
(Silence).

People will write ,vote for Udom Emmanuel ! Why? He is the SSG and from Eket! And ? (Silence). Meanwhile the last thing I saw this individual do is go after the press!

I repeat that it does not matter where tribalist reside. tribalist slime stands out in Diaspora or the Home front like a sore thumb. For those of us who really care about Akwa Abasi Ibom State we are sending out a clear message that even if others approve of such down low thinking. We who are enlightened truly believe that you are scum !!

Note:    Akwa Ibom State is for every one and no particular tribe !!!!!

“Akpabioism”: The Beginning of the End.

6 May

Akpabio

Shortly after Godswill Akpabio was sworn in as the governor of Akwa Ibom State in 2007, his first official performance was to harass journalists. He hated and had a high disdain for any journalist who reported the truth, the type of truth which Akpabio perceived in his warped mind as negative attributes.

From then on, all the journalists in Akwa Ibom State went underground, some abandoned the profession entirely, a few stayed on and operated incognito, while writing using pseudonyms.  There was no voice to caution Akpabio and those who were close to him immediately knew that it was the beginning of terror that would come to engulf Akwa Ibom State and its people till this day.

Within the past seven years (2007 till present), Akpabio has become the Biblical equivalent of Goliath, who was always boasting to his followers as being  the strongest man in the world, who could conquer the earth, the sea, and the land, until the day the young son of Jesse—David— showed up on the battle field, unannounced. David needed neither an iron sword nor a strong weapon to handle Goliath, because he knew that Goliath was nothing but an ego maniac and a coward who was only good at intimidating people with his physique.

Unlike Goliath, Akpabio did not have the physique to intimidate the people but created fear and terror in the people by kidnapping his opponents, assassinating those whom he perceived as opposition, and those he could have, but did, not kidnap or murdered, he paid the police to arrest them under trumped up charges and went further to twist and pervert justice. It did not take long for Akpabio to succeed in subduing the people of Akwa Ibom State.

He refused to pay salaries. He refused to engage in programs that could create employment for the people and unemployment rate among the youth skyrocketed to nearly eighty percent, where it still stands.

Thinking that he had solidified the people to obey him without questioning, Akpabio began to insult the elders and mistreat the Ibibio people, who make up the majority of the dialectical group in the state.

As if to add insult to injury, Akpabio thumbed his nose on the people when he decreed that he will impose a successor on the same group of people he has been insulting and victimizing since 2007. This last act has become the proverbial last straw that broke the Carmel’s back. It is the first time, since 2007, that the people have refused to cow-tow to the antics and the foolishness of Godswill Akpabio.

What is going on now is that the people, led by former practitioners of Akpabioism, such as Senator Ita Enang, are uniting together and determined to let Akpabio know that Akwa Ibom State is greater and bigger than one man; as one American musician said in one of his lyrics, “we ain’t taking this no more.”

When Akpabio decreed that he would impose his successor on the people, he never for once dreamed that Akwa Ibom people of all dialectical groups could wake up from their slumbers and unite as one to fight him. Just a few months ago, it would have been unheard of to hear personalities of the caliber of Atuekong Etiebet come out in the open to challenge Akpabio over his decision to impose a governor on the people.

Every day and night, the people are convening series of meetings to plan strategies on how to counter Godswill Akpabio and his imposition. In one of such meetings, reports came on the social media stating: “The People of Uyo senatorial District have affirmed through a voice vote that they have issues and grievances to discuss with the State Governor…. USD said they have been marginalized especially in the area of appointments. They said there is no fair distribution of appointment in the State public and civil service…. And as regard 2015, those who spoke, including the Deputy Leader of the State House of Assembly, former Chairman Nsit Ibom Local Government amongst others opted for an open contest” (Retrieved from the Facebook page of Henshaw Nyong).

With so much opposition mounted from all fronts against Godswill Akpabio, those close to him say the man is now more erratic in his behaviors than in the past. Some analysts have even predicted that he may wake up one day and say to hell with being a governor and seek refuge in some remote place, such as St. Kitty (or Kitts) Island, where he is partnering with the Prime Minister of that country to build a refinery.

Meanwhile, there are feelers pointing and manifesting everywhere indicating that Akpabioism, which, just a few months ago, meant different things to different people, is increasingly giving the same meaning to everyone; dead!

For Akpabio, what is transpiring right before him is the beginning of the end of Godswill Akpabio and the stupidity of Akpabioism.

The People of Uyo senatorial District have affirmed through a voice vote that they have issues and grievances to discuss with the State Governor.

USD said they have been marginalized especially in the area of appointments. They said there is no fair distribution of appointment in the State public and civil service.
USD also said they are not satisfied with the number of Permanent Secretary positions to USD.
They have decided to send emissaries to the State Governor to correct the abnormalities in the USD.
And as regard 2015, those who spoke, including the Deputy Leader of the State House of Assembly, former Chairman Nsit Ibom Local Government amongst others opted for an open contest.

Apart from Senator Ita Enang there is no National Assembly member from Akwa Ibom that is giving effective representation. Enang is the only voice from here”.
He strongly voiced that the people of his constituency and Uyo Senatorial District as a whole want an open contest where all and sundry would be allowed to test their popularity.
And the BIG ONE…Senator Enang has declared for a re-election!
Some of the bigwigs in attendance are: Deputy Leader, AKHA, Ekaette Ebong Okon, Hon. Kufre Etuk, Hon Onofiok Luke, Otuekong Raphael Bassey, Okon Emah, Prof Etok Ekanem, Hon Joshua Asuquo, Helen Akpabio, Barr Anefiok Dennis, Dr Chris Nyong, Elder Nicholas Andy, Pst Andrew Uwanta.
