Assam Assam Vows To Frustrate Akpabio’s Succession Plan.

18 Jul

Nigerian Ambassador to Russia and the Belarus, Chief Assam Ekanem Assam (SAN) has expressed his intention to resign to enable him contest the Akwa Ibom State governorship election in 2015.

Ambassador Assam E Assam.

Assam, who stated this at the weekend while addressing hundreds of his supporters from the 31 local government areas of the state at his country home in Idua, Eket LGA, disclosed that he would tender his resignation letter to President Goodluck Jonathan by next month (August).
Assam vowed to stop Gov. Godswill Akpabio from imposing a candidate on the people of Akwa Ibom state during the forthcoming governorship election.
He denied the rumour making the round that President Jonathan had asked him to withdraw from the governorship contest, maintaining he would go ahead and contest and win the race for the Akwa Ibom State Government House.
According to him, his entry into the governorship race would disrupt the succession plan of Governor Godswill Akpabio whom he said was hell-bent on imposing his successor on the people of the state.
“I have the energy, capacity and political will to stop Akpabio from imposing his successor because I have always said; Akwa Ibom people are too republican for an outgoing governor to impose a governor on them”, he boasted.
He asserted that the only person he was contesting the governorship office with was Governor Akpabio, adding that the day Akpabio withdraws from the race he would have no opposition to his way to the Hilltop Mansion.
“I want to tell you all that the only person I will contest the governorship with is Akpabio and the day he withdraws from the race I will have no opposition. Akpabio is the only obstacle to a free and transparent party nomination and election but I am glad because the People’s Democratic Party has started the process of a free and fair nomination and election”, Assam said.
Assam promised to revitalize and reposition education to international standards, localize the economy, industrialize the state, create jobs for the teeming unemployed people, fight corruption and stop capital flight if voted in as governor.

Akwa Ibom State Politics: Umana O. Umana Vindicates the Critics of Akpabio.

7 Jul

By Thompson Essien

Akpabio and Umama O. Umana

Umana Okon Umana says Akpabio wants to kill him; this is no news for many people in Akwa Ibom State. It is not a secret that Akpabio will order his “boys” to kidnap, kill, or arrest anyone who disagrees with him.

Umana Okon Umana says Akpabio has a hand in the assassinations and kidnappings of his political associates; this is news!

It is news because the accusation comes from Umana Okon Umana. If anyone knows the intrigues of Godswill Akpabio, that person is Umana Okon Umana. Since 2007 when Akpabio was sworn in as a governor, Umana remained the Secretary to Akpabio’s version of a government, until July 2013, when Akpabio sent his wife to kick him (Umana) out of his cabinet.

Therefore, for Umana Okon Umana to send a petition to the human rights commission in which he accused Akpabio of having a hand in crimes of assassinations and kidnappings, the information in such a petition must be as authentic as the palms of a man’s hand and could not be far from truths.http://leadership.ng/news/377037/alleged-political-assassinations-umana-drags-akpabio-nhrc.)

Umana’s petition to the National Human Rights Commission, or NHRC, is also a vindication of the critics (including me) of Godswill Akpabio, who have all along been saying that Akpabio is responsible for all the heinous crimes in Akwa Ibom State. Be it kidnappings or assassinations, it will not happen in Akwa Ibom State without the knowledge and sanctions of the governor, who is not only the Chief Executive Officer of the State, but also the Chief Security Officer, who have been receiving billions of naira every year known as Security Vote.

It may be difficult to comprehend the magnitude of the allegations leveled against Akpabio. Below is a partial list of all the men and women—all of them peace-loving Nigerians—who have been destroyed by Godswill Akpabio and his administration since he became a governor in 2007. Any indigene of Akwa Ibom State, who goes through the list, will find it difficult to disagree that the crimes have affected him or her in one way or the other.

Another Lamentation from AIDN Scammed Victim ~ Patriotism turns to Regret.

By Clayton “Bane” Udoh

“If you think that Akwa Ibom people should just forget about seeking justice the respectful way and continue to be ignored by their rulers (because someone has built highway overpasses), then get ready for even greater shocking behavior. “………

Clement Ikpatt

There is a famous story. The crab was telling its kids to walk straight . Then the child replied ,” Mommy could you walk for us to see ?” Then the Mommy crab said, ” Alright and please take a lesson from my example! ” then she began to walk sideways and exclaimed , ” I cannot believe what is happening!” Then walked sideways straight into her hole .

Respect is a two way street and being an elder is not a license for wayward behavior. Now that corruption and criminal behavior has become a way of life ,the abuse of power and the institutionalization of sycophancy. Some of us will push the system to equilibrium by refusing  to think like goats.

A bird said to the fellow bird ,” As hunters have learnt to shoot without missing ,so have I learnt to fly without perching”  . As elders have decided to sell their souls and abuse their power without conscience ,so have we learnt to call them out without blinking.

In Diaspora here there are two schools of thought. Elders are to be respected no matter the despicable behavior they exhibit and there is another in which if elders cannot respect themselves then we shall call them out.

Aniekan Umanah, AKS Info Commissioner

However for the uneducated moron ,historically is the crown or position of power a right or privilege? What exactly constitutes the mechanics of power ? Is there a dynamic in which the ruler agrees to rule and the people accept to be ruled ?  Is it a modified form of slavery in which you have no say in the extent of the power being wielded on your behalf ?  The mechanics of power is simple, the people’s acceptance of the ruler is the substrate in which they operate on. Minus that the ruler ceases to be legitimate. Ghaddafi , Mubarak,Nixon and countless rulers thru the ages have realized sadly and too late that their  power is based on the acceptance of the people.

Failure even in ancient times to realize this principle led to the fall of kings and emperors.  Kings like Charles the First were hanged a mile high as an example to the realm on what the abuse of power brings .

The pre-colonial blueprint for the West African sub-region by our colonial masters was a system that demanded for absolute subservient behavior . This was to ensure a smooth “slavery” of the people for their ruling pleasure. It was passed on to subsequent generations while the  country of origins of the colonial masters were going thru revolutions and upheavals that led to drastic reformation of their societies and their civilizations at large.

Now fast forward to this day and age , the uneducated moron still abides by the mentality passed onto us by our colonial masters which has led to the retrogression of our society based on one rule ” Oga can do no wrong”. Meanwhile in the land of our Colonial Masters the abusive ruler is quickly removed from office.

So let the Bat, not question the Hawk on the merits of his flight techniques because afterall the Bat only flies in the night ! Let nobody question a person on what has he done lately for Akwa Ibom State when he/she has done nothing lately for the state also. Thereby creating an atmosphere in which wrong doing cannot be scrutinized and questioned. Thereby creating a pseudo class of “untouchables” . Thereby creating the breakdown of law and order as we see in Nigeria because the whole land is infested with “untouchables” !

This principle was understood by the women involved in the 1929 Ikot Abasi riots. The system was betrayed by the Colonial Masters and consort of native chiefs working in tandem to produce an unnecessary burden on the people. The women reacted quickly even if their chiefs thought that the action of the Colonial Masters was ok.

Nowadays based on the utterances of certain individuals on the Internet we have men who are far weaker than these heroic women but they call themselves men. She-men who are swayed by every demonstration of power and administration no matter how negative and damning it is to the social fabric of the society. She-men whose greed is so intense that they do not have the bravery like true moral leaders and true rulers would, to question abnormalities like murder, kidnapping, looting, embezzlement and the defrauding of innocent members of Diaspora by organizations they belonged to (AIDN).

Let Bats not question Hawks anymore

Akwa Ibom Global Fraud Network: Another Lamentation.

11 Mar

Liberty Voice in an effort and promise to clean-up the A’Ibom government stinky system and deliver our brothers and sisters from the hands of organised banditry under the cover of a notorious fraud  organisation known as Akwa Ibom Diaspora Network (AIDN) which her finances is  oversee by Three Amigos Mr. Clement Ikpatt, Bar. Uduak Ukpe and Mr. Aniekan Umana, one fake lawyer Ata Ikiddeh Those named are close Allies to Akwa Ibom State Gov. Mr. Godswill Obot Akpabio who is the Chief financier and sponsor of the group through the state purse ( taxpayer funds).

BELOW IS ANOTHER LAMENTATION FROM A PATRIOTIC AKWA IBOM WOMAN. UNFORTUNATELY HER PATRIOTISM TURNS TO REGRET. read on…

Hon commissioner of information,
Members of global secretariat,
Presidential advisory committee,

I have decided to broaden the list of recipients of this mail to include the above mentioned individuals.
Thanks Mary Umoh for this mail. I was going to send one before I got yours.
I have in the last few days tried to contact Mr Clement Ikpatt, but has been unsuccessful.
I want to use this opportunity to thank AIDN and the Government of Akwa Ibom state for the financial distress they have put me through. I am not a politician, I work my butt off for every penny. Why the government? I was told that as soon the government releases money I will be paid back the credit card charges I made about  eight months ago. A credit card that I have not used for nearly 4 years. I only brought it out as a show of patriotism.
I did this for the love of the government of Akwa Ibom state, and now this.

I am aware that members of the global secretariat had a scheduled visit with the Governor, HE Chief Godswill Akpabio in December. During that meeting, it was brought to the notice of the governor that AIDN was still owing money to certain individuals from the cancelled Germany conference, and the governor said he  gave the sum of 10 million Naira for that. My question is where did 10 million Naira go? Is Clement Ikpatt, Uduak Ukpeh or the Hon.Commisioner of information aware of this?
Shame on the leadership of AIDN for betraying my trust.
I want the global secretariat and the presidential advisory committee to take immediate action and refund the sum of $11,560 being the amount of money I am being owed at this time.

Christy Mkpouto Egwunye.

‘I’ll Jail You For Fraud’-Umana Tells Akpabio. ‘Your’re A Dreamer’ – Akpabio Retorts.

UMANA UMANA PROMISES TO SEND AKPABIO TO JAIL COME 2015
*YOU ARE A PATHETIC DREAMER!!! – AKPABIO.
-The Guide News.

Akpabio & Umana Umana

Akpabio & Umana Umana

A major drama played out between the Executive Governor of Akwa Ibom state, Governor Godswill Obot Akpabio and his estranged secretary to the state Government Obong Umana Okon Umana in faraway United States of America.
Our source, a frontline Akwa Ibom son resident in the United States and a member of the Akwa Ibom community resident in the United States hinted that the face-off took place at an enlarged meeting of Akwa Ibom people resident in the United States.
The Guide newspaper gathered from this source that the former secretary to the state Government had learnt of the meeting and saw it as a platform for formally informing Akwa Ibom in the diaspora of his intention to contest the gubernatorial elections in Akwa Ibom state come 2015.
Our source disclosed that when the time had come, ousted secretary to the state Government Obong Umana Umana took to the stage to tell Akwa Ibom people that his decision to contest the election was to redeem Akwa Ibom from the abyss of economic misfortune the present administration has plunged it into, since the assumption of office of the present administration.
Umana said he regretted ever being a part of the administration that had created a history for itself in looting the resources of the state for personal gains. He said he was in the governorship race to seek for the forgiveness of Akwa Ibom people by making them have a taste of what they have not been privileged to enjoy since Governor Godswill Akpabio assumed office in 2007.
“While addressing us, Umana who was looking very sober told us that he had on several occasions persuaded Governor Godswill Akpabio to exercise some restraints in the way he misappropriate funds meant for the general wellbeing of Akwa Ibom people. He told us that he had lost count of the number of times he had persuaded Akpabio not inflate the figures of contracts of major projects to be embarked upon by his administration, as though he was not an indigene of Akwa Ibom state.” Our source explained.
The former SSG is quoted to have said that it was to make Akwa Ibom people have a taste of the state resources that he facilitated the coming of a construction company Nigerpet structures to help provide jobs for the teaming unemployed people in the state.
The Guide Newspaper gathered from our source that it was while the sacked secretary to the state Government, Obong Umana Umana was still speaking that Governor Godswill Akpabio walked into the venue.
When he mounted the podium to speak, Akpabio called on Akwa Ibom people not to be swayed by someone who was going around looking for sympathy after he had turned himself to a thin god and firing people from the Governors Cabinet and other political appointees at will.
Akpabio told Akwa Ibom sons and daughters at the gathering to embark on their personal investigation to discover for themselves the deep-seated havoc perpetrated by the sacked SSG.
“The Governor specifically told us to our utter amazement that 70% of the cabinet reshuffle in his administration happened when Umana has some personal misunderstanding with someone. The Governor said since he was bent in keeping the state united and not seen as someone who was trying to etch out prominent Ibibio sons from his Government, he had to contain the excesses of his estranged SSG.” Our source hinted.
He told the people to ask the former SSG since he was fortunate to be at the event, if he was not given the freehand to nominate people for some political appointment in the present administration.
The Guide Newspaper learnt that it was at this point that the ousted SSG stood up at the event and started shouting “You are a liar!” “You are a liar!” “I will jail you once I become Governor in 2015!”at the Governor while heading toward the podium that Governor Akpabio was standing to address the gathering.
It took the combined efforts of his aides and some prominent Akwa Ibomites at the event to restrain him from reaching the Governor.
Meanwhile, The Governor who appeared unruffled while the former SSG was approaching him was said to be smiling while he kept repeating the words “You are a dreamer!” “If you ever get 100 metres close to the position of the Governor, then know that my name is not Godswill Obot Akpabio!”
Our source said the meeting was hurriedly adjourned as the atmosphere was unfit for further serious deliberations.

The Puke Of The Roguish Clement Ikpatt: An Interview By Franklin Isong On Thompson Essien.

23 Feb

By OduduAbasi N. Edet.
I am sure that you are aware of the khaki envelopes which many so-called journalists stuff in their coat pockets from corrupt men and women now running our governments at local, state and federal levels, in order to present the corrupt favorably to the public.
Franklyn Isong knows that Clement Ikpatt is a former police officer who absconded from his duties and fled to the United States. Franklin Isong has avoided interviewing Clement Ikpatt on first things first,  such as could help establish Clement Ikpatt’s credibility for the public. Franklin Isong cannot, NOW,  claim that he does not understand that his interviews border on journalistic in-etiquette, bias, and insincerity – this makes the second time that Franklin Isong has not sought reactions from the other party who has been consistently attacked by his interviewee.
Questions which Franklin Isong has deliberately avoided asking Clement Ikpatt; (since he has refused to seek the opinion of the other party,  ALWAYS attacked by his interviewee, Clement Ikpatt);   include Clement Ikpatt’s stint in the NPF, how  Clement  Ikpatt left that outfit; how Clement Ikpatt entered the United States; what Clement Ikpatt’s status in the United States was while he lived in the United States; and if Clement Ikpatt expects to return to the United States. Franklin Isong knows and understands that such questions will help to establish the credibility or non thereof of his interviewee.
Why has  journalist  Franklin Isong failed to lay a solid foundation for his client,  which could help the reading and hearing public to know if Clement Ikpatt  and what Clement Ikpatt says are credible, in the absence of any counter from the person being attacked by his interviewee? The simple answer to that question is that Franklin Isong is given to yellow and brown-envelop journalism, practiced by many of his colleagues in Nigeria!
However, Clement Ikpatt himself knows that his days are numbered and the time is fast approaching when he will be FORCED to render account for all he has said and done on behalf of his corrupt masters;  what he had ever done for or against his country as a police officer;  and what he has done for himself honestly or dishonestly.
Meanwhile the reading public can ask questions about Clement Ikpatt and what qualifies Clement Ikpatt  to obsessively attack other peoples’  reputations. Is Clement Ikpatt morally upright? Does Clement Ikpatt come from a morally well-adjusted family? Was Clement Ikpatt an upright police officer in the Nigeria Police Force? Is Clement Ikpatt married; if so is he a good father, a good husband ? Franklin Isong has left the reading public the choice and the interest to begin inquiring about Clement Ikpatt along these lines.
Clement Ikpatt cannot escape his sins. Even if Clement Ikpatt  had refused  to learn from members of his immediate family on that score, he will learn from certain members of the corrupt government of Godswill Obot Akpabio in the coming weeks and months. Franklin Isong also knows that  the Akpabio administration is about to run out of time, out of options, out of power to push yellow journalists to write stories in their favor.
The public will know then who Clement Ikpatt was; who Clement Ikpatt is; and if Clement Ikpatt is the type of person that can be trusted. Franklin Isong will of course plead the usual pledge often given by  insincere persons in the discharge of their duties – “I was only doing my job”; BUT the public would have by then known the type of journalist that Franklin Isong is!

Aniekan Umanah, Akwa Ibom State Commissioner for Information.

TO:

The Office of the Executive Governor of the Akwa Ibom State
The Akwa Ibom State Government Ministries & Parastatals
The Akwa Ibom State House of Assembly
The Akwa Ibom State public
The Peoples Democratic Party – Akwa Ibom State Branch
All Print and Electronic Media and Houses in Akwa Ibom and in Diaspora
All true sons and daughters of Akwa Ibom State in Nigeria and Diaspora
We the undersigned members of the executive of AIDN, Canada Chapter, have hereby come together to issue the following declarations on behalf of ourselves and the entire members of AIDN, Canada Chapter thus:
We the sons and daughters of Akwa Ibom State were very happy when we were contacted to join AIDN and to establish a chapter here in Canada. We were informed that AIDN is an organization registered with the government of The United States of America as a non-profit organization whose mandate was to promote the well-being of all Akwa Ibom citizens both in Nigeria and abroad through political and economic strategies; work with the incumbent and future governments of the state.
It was a highly welcome idea in that we considered that it was high time we stood up and be counted among equals worldwide and that it would afford us the chance to contribute, time, efforts, financially and, in any ways possible toward the development of our home land. With that in mind we did not hesitate in forming the Canada chapter of AIDN. We did not only form the chapter but, contrary to the advice of the global secretariat, we opened an account for the purpose ensuring that all financial activities are recorded for transparency and accountability. Since then, we repeatedly requested the global secretariat to send us seed money to enable us set up an office, and telephone line so that we could do the AIDN jobs effectively, all to no avail.
We were steadily experiencing disappointments from AIDN leadership, but we were not deterred; we went ahead and taxed ourselves financially, and other resources to keep up service. We collected annual fees from members and informed global secretariat. When global secretariat heard that we had some money in our chapter account, they demanded that we send them 60% of our dues and to keep 40%, however we delayed action in that regard as a result of the then  unfolding debacle in Germany.
The global secretariat promised to reimburse us when we send ten members from our branch to the 2011 Houston Texas first expo. Our members left their work, duties and families to attend the expo and some of us had to borrow money to pay hotel and transportation costs, yet we left Houston with no money for hotel accommodation and transport that we were promised, until date. The same deceit happened in 2012 and none of our members was reimbursed as was promised.
In 2013 many of our members were tricked and promised financial compensation for those who would attend the Germany industrial and job expo. So many people bought return trip tickets only to be informed that the expo hit a road block and had to be postponed and would be rescheduled on a later date. This year, 2014 we were awaiting to use our flight tickets that could not be refunded, to attend the rescheduled expo. Instead of that we were saddened to receive information about the financial indiscretion of the President and Secretary and the commissioner of information to which no rebuttal by the trio has been issued.
We hereby state, that we members of the AIDN Canada chapter have been made victims of the financial trickeries of the global secretariat. Up till date we have paid all financial costs demanded from us by the global secretariat including our names, telephone numbers, residential addresses and other vital and personal information to the global secretariat for the purpose of registration as members of PDP and issuance of membership cards which have not been given us to date. Our chapter representative was invited to attend the 2012 Akwa Ibom Sate Silver Jubilee celebration with a promise of reimbursement of transport and costs to attendees. Our representatives came back with disappointment up till date.
We are very troubled that the AIDN leadership has betrayed our confidence. We have been deceived, raped, and betrayed. Our privacy and our lives are an open book to the world based on the publication of our personal information in the global media forum. We have received no money whatsoever from any entity as proceeds from AIDN, instead we have been falsely accused of wrong doings instead of the president and secretary of the global secretariat.
We hereby ask that our names be removed forthwith from the AIDN list of crooks and that those found guilty of financial embezzlement be made to refund all that they have stolen and that all that is owed to us be reimbursed immediately and save us from debts and all financial embarrassments.
We are responsible, respectable and law-abiding sons of Akwa Ibom State, Canada and indeed, the world. We made no mistake to support renaissance efforts for our people and we ask that our names be not associated with dishonest people and fake leadership.
