OF ETHNIC VOMITS, INANE OUTBURST AND ZION UMOH’S RECORD

“The world has often acted as if history had no records. And the reason that is so, is usually to fast track the destruction of the unthinking world….”
– Prof. Effiong Johnson.

Until I attended Professor Effiong Johnson’s Inaugural Lecture in 2014, which was the 37th Inaugural Lecture of the prestigious University of Uyo, I did not know that Theatre Artists to are good philosophers of history. You can imagine how I was jumping up and down in the Lecture hall because I was inspired by the Professor’s postulations in his breathtaking lecture, titled, “OF THEATRE ARTS’ EFFERVESCENCE… (AND INFAMY?) DISMANTLING THE GROTESQUE FROM THE AESTHETICS”. Still, in that lecture, Prof. Johnson stated that ” people are bound to hold their opinions as they deem fit”, but concluded that “ever so often, opinions get swayed by the strength of superior arguments”.

I brought in the above paragraph and quotes to remind Da Zion Umoh that he is not fit to come to public space and vomit hogwash against anybody because he was severally convicted by Courts of competent jurisdictions in the United States of America. A man like Zion should have buried his head in shame, become remorseful and purged himself of all impurities, and then avoid coming public to rant like a broken record. Of course, his rantings are akin to those of ants – only those aground hear them.

Recently, in his fruitless efforts to defend former Governor Godswill Akpabio, whom he severally (very recently) abused, chastised and disowned, Zion Eno Umoh had thrown cautions to the wind by attempting to incite the Annangs against the people of Uyo Senatorial District. Yes, I prefer to call them “the people of Uyo Senatorial District” and not Ibibio because my own geographical description of Ibibio includes the Annangs of Ikot Ekpene Senatorial District. There’s no war that can severe us – the Ibibio. Annang, just like Nsit, Iman, Eket, Ubium, Itam, Oron, etc. will ever remain a part of Ibibio because we speak one language (though with slightest dialectical differences), share the same culture and tradition, live on the same land, and intermarry.

Zion Umoh, through his several, but worthless Facebook posts, rains insults on the person of Senator John Udoedehe, ostensibly to please Akpabio, and even brought out a picture of a truck-pusher and attempted to misinform the public that he was Udoedehe’s brother. The convicted Zion has failed to address any of the issues I raised in my trilogy against Senator Akpabio, and instead resorts to insulting. He is paid to slander Udoedehe because of politics, and because those that sponsor him thought what I said against Akpabio was sponsored. I am Akpabio’s critic, just like Zion is gearing towards becoming mine, so I don’t need anybody to tell me what to say when to say and how to say it. I am always on the side of the majority and truth. Zion should learn (if he likes).

Zion has become a nuisance since his unfortunate repatriation from the US. He has gone amok of late because he thinks that that’s the only way he can put food on his table. He started with Hon. Aniekan Umana, and many other Annang sons, but shamefully and sad, he has eaten back his vomits and sheepishly went back to those people because of money and food (meaning he did those things for food and money. THAT’S THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN ME AND THE PSYCHO). His recent appointment with former Senator Akpabio is not unconnected with his belly.

Back to Zion’s unfortunate records… It started in his days in the University of Calabar where Zion, despite being a Pastor’s son, indulged in shoplifting and pilfering to live larger than his life. He was severally arrested and detained by the police, and his father was always there to intervene. This is not to say that his father, Pastor Eno Umoh (peace upon his ashes) was supporting Zion’s waywardness. No. But I can tell you, Zion was the Why the man died untimely.

Several other atrocities propelled Zion’s relation to taking him to the US, perhaps to see if he could change because of the new environment. But it became even worse. Zion graduated from pilfering and shoplifting to a full scale armed robbery. He was found guilty and jailed for 3 years. After that, Zion robbed again and was convicted by a court in Texas for another 3 years. The psycho had since then lived in the US as a pariah, indulging in crimes of different sorts, including smoking of Indian hemp, cocaine, skunk, gigolo-ing for a living, etc. Anyone interested in Zion’s crime records and his several convictions should follow this link:
https://texas.arrests.org/Arrests/Zion_Umoh_24890742/

Those retaining the services of Zion Eno Umoh seem to share a thing or two in common with him. Zion was convicted for armed robbery, I think in due time, those he is currently working for, shall be convicted for pen/executive robbery, and for raping Akwa Ibom State.

Newly Consecrated #GayBishop Declares God Is A Woman

2 Jul

Rev. Thomas Brown, who is married to a fellow priest, was ordained as a bishop of the diocese of Maine in the Episcopal Church June 22. Immediately following his ordination, Brown referred to God as a “she” twice in the Nicene Creed.

Youtube

“She is worshipped and glorified. She has spoken through the Prophets,” the just-ordained Bishop Brown said, referring to the Holy Spirit.

The Nicene Creed was written 1,638 years ago and only uses masculine pronouns to refer to God.

The microphones in the Cathedral of St. Luke projected the voice of the celebrant, Bishop Curry, for the duration of the creed, barring the line where Bishop Brown used female pronouns for God. It is unclear if the microphones were intentionally switched to project Bishop Brown’s female-gendering of God.

Deacon Todd Thomas of the Episcopal Diocese of Washington told the Daily Caller that he has never heard an Episcopal priest use female pronouns in the creed. Individual bishops and priests can, however, change words and phrases in the Nicene Creed, Deacon Thomas explained. He cautioned any changes to the creed should be done “in conversation” with the lay people.

Deacon Thomas told the Daily Caller he has heard Episcopal priests use female pronouns for God outside of the context of official creeds.

Bishop Brown addresses his diocese for the first time. (Youtube)

The Episcopal church has a tradition of interpreting the Book of Proverbs’ mentions of “Lady Wisdom” as referring to the Holy Spirit, Deacon Thomas said.

“Inclusive language” of God is encouraged by the Episcopal Church. This “means the use of male and female imagery and metaphors in a balanced way to express the truths we know of God,” the Episcopal Dictionary of the Church says.

Bishop Brown describes himself as a “servant leader who strives for justice among all people and who continues to address white privilege, dismantle racism, and work for the full inclusion of LGBTQ people in the Body of Christ.”

The bishop met his husband, Father Tom Mousin, when Father Mousin was serving as a pastor in the United Methodist Church. Brown’s husband has since converted to the Episcopal Church, and been ordained in that church.

It is possible that Father Mousin will take up a position at a parish in his husband’s diocese, he said on Facebook, explaining he would have oversight from an outside bishop.

In 2018, the Episcopal Church began requiring all dioceses to perform same-sex marriage rites, even if a particular bishop objects, reports Juicy Ecumenism.

AKPABIO A DESTABILISING AGENT: Akwa Ibom APC Elders Warn Buhari Against Nominating Godswill Akpabio Minister

Elders of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Akwa Ibom State have warned President Muhammadu Buhari against shortlisting Senator Godswill Akpabio for ministerial appointment.

The president will take another oath of office at his inauguration on Wednesday, May 29 for his second term of four years.

Consequently, the group, Ibom Integrity and Servant Leadership Culture Initiative, in a letter to the president, said an appointment for Akpabio would be an open invitation to the crisis in the state.

The letter entitled, ‘Ministerial Appointment: Why Appointing Akpabio Maybe Counter Productive’, was signed by the Executive Vice President of the group, Dr. Asuquo Edidem Etim, and copied to the national chairman of the party, Adams Oshiomhole, the secretary to the government of the Federation (SGF), Boss Mustapha, and the chief of staff to the president, Abba Kyari.

The letter tagged Akpabio as a “destabilising agent”.

Akpabio, who is a former governor of the state on the platform of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), only defected to the ruling APC shortly before the 2019 general election in which he contested to return to the Senate but lost.

The group stated that the “same Senator Akpabio that in years past had been yours and our party’s nemesis cannot suddenly become the gadfly of your political generosity”.

According to them, “Akwa Ibom State boasts of men of immense integrity who can fit into the ministerial positions to help realise the Next Level agenda of the APC government”.

Part of the letter reads: “Mr President, this second mandate affords you the opportunity to select your ministers in a manner that will ensure that they do not become liabilities to your government or dent your impeccable image.

“Characters with known corruption allegations or propensity for pettiness, mischief, treachery, profligacy and vendetta, should be avoided. Senator Godswill Akpabio, unfortunately, is one of such integrity deficient individuals.

“Akpabio is a destabilising agent. The poor showing of APC in Akwa Ibom State in the last general election was to a large extent as a result of the destabilising and authoritarian tendencies of Senator Akpabio, who only believes that it’s either his way or nobody’s.

“Many had thought that his joining APC would bring cool breeze of good fortunes to the party in the state, but rather his highhanded nature and disrespect for internal democracy in the party and the will of the people to choose their leaders, became a raging storm that uprooted the recognised structures of the party right from the grassroots, as he imposed party leaders from the wards and even unit levels. Leaving many party men and women very bruised, trampled and disgruntled. This sadly affected the chances of our governorship candidate, Obong Nsima Ekere”, the group alleged.

While noting that Akwa Ibom has many “respectable, level-headed” personalities that would represent the state with grace at the federal executive, the elders also pointed out the enviable qualities of party leaders such as the outgoing Minister of Budget and National Planning, Udoma Udo Udoma, noting that “he’s done creditably in the past four years”.

The group added: “In terms of loyalty to the party and contributions to its development in the state, we have party men, including Chief Umana Umana and Senator John Udoedehe, among others, who had toiled to keep the party afloat over time in the state.”

It continued: “Akpabio’s uncommon profligacy in public office as governor in Akwa Ibom State is well known in political circles.

“We plead with you, Mr. President, to save our dear state Akwa Ibom from a potential ugly scenario, similar to that of Rivers State, between Gov. Wike and Amaechi, that has turned the state into a battlefield of blood and destruction, fuelled by ego and avoidable rivalry, especially, as the drumbeat of supremacy war and vendetta is already being fine-tuned, with claim of a ‘federal powerhouse in waiting’, by his gang. His propensity for violence is well documented in the state.

“Watch the video clips of all the names he called you just few years back in the name of a political campaign as governor. Find out who drove your party, our party into the bush throughout his days as governor, fanned by his dictatorial mien and intolerance disposition towards the opposition.

“Be guided by the fact that our poor outing in the first free and fair elections ever conducted in Akwa Ibom State, the 2019 general elections, was the aftermath of overwhelming state-wide revolt against Akpabio and what he represents.”

The group described the senator’s defection to the ruling party as “unfortunate” and “treacherous”, adding that the former Senate minority leader “sneaked into our party to achieve a long-held dream of stopping an APC victory in the state.”

It pointed out that Akpabio had only recently and boldly told global television viewers that he “did not decamp from PDP but moved”.

“A chameleon does not ever hide its colours, Mr. President,” the group warned.Image may contain: one or more people, people sitting and indoor

2023: APC SHOULD BE GUIDED BY HISTORY (There can never be politics without history) #PoliticsOfMurdering

24 Mar
Dost thou still bemoan thy fall
And think thy weary self undone?
Think again, O mortal man,
And know that since this world began
Men and stars have fallen low
And living things have ceased to grow
– DENNIS OSADEBAY

The year, 2023, is still far, and the politics of that year is still in the embryo, why then should one start beating the drum now? For the first time in my life I have to align with the thought of the Akwa Ibom State PDP Chairman, Obong Paul Ekpo who recently issued a statement against the commencement of 2023 campaign by some politicians when the 2019 dispensation is yet to be inaugurated.

But then, the Ibibio people say, “NDUNÓÑÑÓ ITEM EFERE ÓFÓN KE OWO MM’ISINNE IKPAÑ”. I would not dare say what I’m going to say here if I’ve not learnt from history, and if I am not bent on seeing that majority of our people, especially those I happen to share a party platform with, benefit from the lessons of history. I have always said, and I am still of the opinion, that POLITICS CANNOT BE PLAYED WELL WITHOUT HISTORY. For example, if a party repeats the mistakes it did in 2019 in 2023 failure is her other name because no miracle can give her victory.

I wish APC well, hence I must say this: 8 years ago, the founders and founding members of the “Broom Party” in Akwa Ibom State were ambushed at Ikot Ekpene after series of threats were issued by the likes of Chief Sunny Ibanga (who circumstances and or Providence has brought into the very party he was against). Some of us were killed; some were wounded. Yours truly had to run from Ikot Ekpene to Uyo. In fact, how I did it I can’t recall, but I remember vividly that the bus I boarded was razed to ashes. I witnessed how people were killed. Majority of those who planned and executed the inhuman act are now in the APC, including the beneficiaries of the act. Chief Godswill Akpabio was the beneficiary in chief!

The doyen of Nigerian history, Professor Obaro Ikime, in his latest book, titled: “CAN ANYTHING GOOD COME OUT OF HISTORY?”, published in 2018, says “… the historian does not ply this profession in vacuo. He or she does not write for writing sake! He or she writes knowing that what he or she writes is of value to his or her nation….” He goes on to say that “the value of History is, in a sense, eternal. The issues which the historian decides to concentrate on are thrown up by the challenges which confront the society in which he or she lives….” The history I want my party to rely on as we are coasting to 2023 is the mayhem of March 22, 2011, where those in Akwa Ibom State Government then wanted to kill the progressives in their bid to crush opposition in the State. Blood was the feature of Akwa Ibom State and her politics. Kidnapping and assassination were the only HEADLINE NEWS from and or in Akwa Ibom State. From 2007, the Governor then, through the promptings of some so-called men of God who admonished that “a king must kill to maintain his throne”, was akin to Idi Amin of Uganda. There was no peace in Akwa Ibom State. I was always in hiding. Even some of my supposed colleagues did not know me because I needed to disguise to fight that war in the way I can.

Should our party, the APC forget this history? Why should they forget that Senator John Udoedehe was almost killed in Ikot Ekpene? Why should they forget that Mrs. Justina Udoedehe was almost killed in her Ikot Inyang hometown in Ikot Ekpene? Should they forget Group Captain Sampson Ewang who was humiliated by some of those who recently swarmed into the party? How can they forget that Mandators (Victor Essiet) almost lost his life for this same cause? In fact, it is still a shock to me because his car was attacked and destroyed by thugs… Don’t they know that a lot of people are in the grave prematurely because of this party? This brazen fight against history in our party, or this pretence to forget history in a hurry, is the reason we keep moving around, and or within, a circle – And we may continue to do so if the Nannies’ meal is again given to the dogs in 2023. The people are watching… They are not fools!

At this point, may I use this medium to pray that the soul of those killed in Ikot Ekpene on March 22, 2011, for daring to campaign to free this State from bondage and political ineptitude rest in peace! And may the souls of those killed in Ibiono Ibom, too, two days before that of Ikot Ekpene, also rest in peace. May those killed in that inglorious era rest in the bosom of our Lord Jesus Christ… Amen!Image may contain: 2 people, people sittingImage may contain: 1 person, sunglasses, hat and outdoorImage may contain: 1 person, outdoorImage may contain: one or more people and people standing

GODSWILL AKPABIO LANDS IN BIG TROUBLE IN AKWA IBOM STATE, OVER REIGN OF TERROR

14 Mar
Senator Godswill Akpabio, a former Governor of Akwa Ibom State and recently defeated Senator, has been accused by over five hundred (500) stakeholders, political leaders, party executives and his cousin, Prince Ukpong Akpabio, of unleashing violence and terror on the people of the region, during the last Governorship and State Assembly elections, in the State.

Prince Akpabio, who led the stakeholders, in a World Press Conference, which held at the Nigeria Union of Journalists, NUJ, Secretariat, in Uyo, the Akwa Ibom State capital, on Thursday, alleged that the Senator masterminded and executed the militarization of the electoral process, witnessed in the area. The stakeholders and leaders signed a communique read by Barrister Imo-Owo Okpokpo.
They claimed that one Supol Idorenyin Akpabio of SARS, in the company of other Policemen, shot at people indiscriminately, detained and maimed PDP supporters, on the directives of Senator Akpabio.
Part of the communique reads:
“Essien Udim people condemn in strong terms, the various electoral offences and irregularities masterminded and perpetrated by Senator Godswill Akpabio and his cohorts, in which almost all the election process in the area was marred by unlawful militarization, rigging, and assault on INEC Electoral OfficersAmong the atrocities committed by Senator Godswill Akpabio, include carting away of electoral materials and INEC Ad hoc Staff, in all the units of the 11 wards in the area, with the help of Military men with armoured vehicles, to the residence of Barr Ibanga AkpabioSenator Godswill Akpabio with his cohorts, apart from assaulting INEC Staff, also beat and machete some PDP faithfuls, to the point of unconsciousness.”

The Stakeholders and Leaders of Essien Udim maintained that in units where elections were not duly conducted, the PDP won overwhelmingly, and they have their result sheets intact, describing any other result as fake, and do not represent the votes of the electorates of Essien Udim Local Government AreaThey rejected the published results so far released by INEC in the State, and equally condemned the cancellation of results in nine wards in the Council Area.
Essien Udim people used the forum to admonish Senator Godswill Akpabio, to desist from the further advertising of his declining and dwindling political status, through various Press interviews, as such will continue to deepen his failing image. We have totally rejected him as a people, they said. They commiserated with the Corps members and other INEC Staff, who lost valuable items as a result of the alleged mayhem perpetrated by Senator Godswill Akpabio, stressing that, Akpabio is still bent on killing some PDP Stakeholders, even as the elections are over.
They restated their hope on INEC’s capacity to correct, as well as address the election anomalies, with her avowed commitment to conduct free, fair and credible elections in the country.
However, in a previous Press Conference, held by Senator Akpabio, he alleged that the violence witnessed in Essien Udim, during the elections, was perpetrated by members of the PDPHe insisted that the APC won overwhelmingly in his Local Government and other Local Governments, but the INEC in collusion with the PDP-led State Government upturned the results against his party, the APC.
Akpabio added that he has facts and pieces of evidence to back his claims at the Tribunal when the time comes.

Kidnapper-Cum-Assassin-In-Chief, Godswill Akpabio Sets 11 INEC Buses Ablaze

Former Governor, sitting senator and kidnapper cum Assassin-In-Chief, Mr Godswill Obot Akpabio has ordered the burning and attack on buses conveying sensitive electoral materials by Independence Electoral Commission (INEC) officials in Obot Akara on Saturday.
Akpabio who has been chanting war songs during the campaign season all through, as well as his most notorious violence-induced cliche ” Warsaw, saw war and war saw Warsaw.” is believed to be the mastermind of the dastardly act. An eye-witness, Joe Uko Idung, told our reporters.
The officials boarding the burnt cars sustained gruesome injuries and burns critical to their lives.
Senator Akpabio who decamped from the People Democratic Party (PDP) to the All Progressive Congress (APC) as he was being hounded by the Economic and Financial Crime Commission (EFCC) for fraud and theft of money to the tune of N900 billion is trying to install an APC candidate, Mr. Nsima Ekere as governor, a man who was his Deputy Governor but forced to resign in 2012 when he was facing corruption, assassination and theft charges.Image may contain: one or more people, tree, sky, outdoor and natureImage may contain: 1 person, sitting
In the interim, the PDP has condemned the violent attack and blamed it on APC and Chief Godswill Akpabio for both incendiary comment and deliberate order given to hoodlums sympathetic to APC to launch the attack.
In a press statement signed by the State PDP Director, Public Communications, Divine Mandate Campaign Organization, Otuekong Emmanuel Ibiok said the attack is an attempt by Akpabio and his APC hatchetmen to portray Akwa Ibom State as a violent state in order to call for election postponement to enable them to bring in mobile policemen and military to take over the state during the election which will give room for intimidation and rigging.
“This action corroborates our earlier disclosure that the APC plans to sponsor violent criminal operations that could enable its poorly orchestrated script for postponing the elections in Akwa Ibom State,” Ibok said
Eleven buses hired by INEC in readiness for the postponed election of Saturday were all together touched by the APC hoodlums.

Police Arrest Man Who Poisoned His 3 Sons With Sniper Because He Suspected Them Of Witch Craft.

Police Arrest Man Who Poisoned His 3 Sons With Sniper Because He Suspected Them Of Witch Craft.

The Nigeria police at Bayelsa command has arrested a 42-year-old father of three, Sunday Otasi, for allegedly killing his two sons with a poisonous substance known as ‘Sniper’ over his suspicion of witchcraft. One of the sons, however, cheated death though he is in critical condition after he escaped from the bush where his father and uncle had tied them to a tree.

The man, who hails from Agbobiri-Okodia in Yenagoa Local Government Area of Bayelsa, reportedly took his three sons, Success Otasi, aged 14; Miracle Otasi, aged 12; and Godstime Otasi, aged 10, to a bush along Glory Drive Road at Igbogene in Yenagoa, where he tied them to a tree with the help of his younger brother, Levai Ayah and forced them to drink the killer substance.

It was gathered that the three children ran into troubled waters sometimes in September last year when Prophet George Odoko of George Odoko Outreach Ministries told their father that his children were wizards and responsible for his illness.

Since then, the three children were reportedly subjected to different kinds of torture by the man and his relatives, who believed that their mother who was no longer in marriage with their father had bewitched them. Otasi, who denied killing his sons, told newsmen that he only brought the children to Yenagoa on December 29, to be delivered at Prophet Odoko’s church but could not get the deliverance done because the prophet couldn’t attend to them.

He added that he decided to give the three children to his younger brother, Levi to return them to his mother in the village. “I don’t know what my brother did to my children on the way back to the village.”
But the surviving son and the eldest, Success, who miraculously survived the poisonous liquid revealed that his father and his younger brother, now at large, took them to the bush and gave them sniper to drink.

The boy who spoke to newsmen at a hospital in Yenagoa where he is receiving treatment said his father told them that they were going to a church service in Yenagoa but diverted them to a bush where they were tied and given sniper to drink.

My father came to take us from our grandmother and told us that we were going to a church in Yenagoa but when we reached the road, he and his brother took us to the bush and tied me and my younger brothers and gave us sniper to drink. I managed to come to the road after I used my legs to remove the rope and people saw me and took me to the hospital.”

Confirming the incident, the Commissioner of Police, Mr. Aminu Selah, said the suspect has made confessional statements while the police were on the chase of the fleeing accomplice. The police boss called on parents to show love to their children and wards, urging members of the public to avoid jungle justice of any kind.
