Denmark/NTG Global Fraud/Scam. #NTGglobalScam

This is to give you a synopsis of scammers and fraudsters’ operation using Europian companies to run their scam.NTG Global scam

I was first contacted by a lady who said her manager wanted to talk to me regarding the employment opportunity as a marketing manager because they saw my resume online. A man who claimed to be Martin Olsen later contacted me and did an interview which he later said I got the job. According to him, they are based in Denmark and wanted to open an office in Houston Texas, which is my area. He gave me an appointment letter and said I will be working from home until they have an office here. He continued to give me an assignment based on a market survey and Bitcoins. Last Thursday I received an email with an online check of $1850 which he instructed me to print and deposit it into my bank account via online. On Friday, he asked me to check and withdraw the money if it was available. I told him it wasn’t yet available. This morning, I tried to log in to my online banking but was told I cannot access it. I called the bank and I was informed that my account has been closed because of suspicious activities. The name of the said company is NTG Global and the email that has been used is job@ntgglobal.group. I later tried to find the domain name http://www.ntgglobal.group but could not find it. Our communication thrived much in email, phone calls, and Skype. The phone number used is +45 78 78 58 07. It is a Denmark number. The address on the appointment paper is Hammerholmen 47-49, Hvidovre, Denmark.

As they were using audio in Skype, I requested to communicate with them using video on Skype, but they refused. So my suspicion heightened.

Other communication:

AKPABIO A DESTABILISING AGENT: Akwa Ibom APC Elders Warn Buhari Against Nominating Godswill Akpabio Minister

27 May

Image may contain: 3 people, people smiling, people standing and beard

Elders of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Akwa Ibom State have warned President Muhammadu Buhari against shortlisting Senator Godswill Akpabio for ministerial appointment.

The president will take another oath of office at his inauguration on Wednesday, May 29 for his second term of four years.

Consequently, the group, Ibom Integrity and Servant Leadership Culture Initiative, in a letter to the president, said an appointment for Akpabio would be an open invitation to the crisis in the state.

The letter entitled, ‘Ministerial Appointment: Why Appointing Akpabio Maybe Counter Productive’, was signed by the Executive Vice President of the group, Dr. Asuquo Edidem Etim, and copied to the national chairman of the party, Adams Oshiomhole, the secretary to the government of the Federation (SGF), Boss Mustapha, and the chief of staff to the president, Abba Kyari.

The letter tagged Akpabio as a “destabilising agent”.

Akpabio, who is a former governor of the state on the platform of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), only defected to the ruling APC shortly before the 2019 general election in which he contested to return to the Senate but lost.

The group stated that the “same Senator Akpabio that in years past had been yours and our party’s nemesis cannot suddenly become the gadfly of your political generosity”.

According to them, “Akwa Ibom State boasts of men of immense integrity who can fit into the ministerial positions to help realise the Next Level agenda of the APC government”.

Part of the letter reads: “Mr President, this second mandate affords you the opportunity to select your ministers in a manner that will ensure that they do not become liabilities to your government or dent your impeccable image.

“Characters with known corruption allegations or propensity for pettiness, mischief, treachery, profligacy and vendetta, should be avoided. Senator Godswill Akpabio, unfortunately, is one of such integrity deficient individuals.

“Akpabio is a destabilising agent. The poor showing of APC in Akwa Ibom State in the last general election was to a large extent as a result of the destabilising and authoritarian tendencies of Senator Akpabio, who only believes that it’s either his way or nobody’s.

“Many had thought that his joining APC would bring cool breeze of good fortunes to the party in the state, but rather his highhanded nature and disrespect for internal democracy in the party and the will of the people to choose their leaders, became a raging storm that uprooted the recognised structures of the party right from the grassroots, as he imposed party leaders from the wards and even unit levels. Leaving many party men and women very bruised, trampled and disgruntled. This sadly affected the chances of our governorship candidate, Obong Nsima Ekere”, the group alleged.

While noting that Akwa Ibom has many “respectable, level-headed” personalities that would represent the state with grace at the federal executive, the elders also pointed out the enviable qualities of party leaders such as the outgoing Minister of Budget and National Planning, Udoma Udo Udoma, noting that “he’s done creditably in the past four years”.

The group added: “In terms of loyalty to the party and contributions to its development in the state, we have party men, including Chief Umana Umana and Senator John Udoedehe, among others, who had toiled to keep the party afloat over time in the state.”

It continued: “Akpabio’s uncommon profligacy in public office as governor in Akwa Ibom State is well known in political circles.

“We plead with you, Mr. President, to save our dear state Akwa Ibom from a potential ugly scenario, similar to that of Rivers State, between Gov. Wike and Amaechi, that has turned the state into a battlefield of blood and destruction, fuelled by ego and avoidable rivalry, especially, as the drumbeat of supremacy war and vendetta is already being fine-tuned, with claim of a ‘federal powerhouse in waiting’, by his gang. His propensity for violence is well documented in the state.

“Watch the video clips of all the names he called you just few years back in the name of a political campaign as governor. Find out who drove your party, our party into the bush throughout his days as governor, fanned by his dictatorial mien and intolerance disposition towards the opposition.

“Be guided by the fact that our poor outing in the first free and fair elections ever conducted in Akwa Ibom State, the 2019 general elections, was the aftermath of overwhelming state-wide revolt against Akpabio and what he represents.”

The group described the senator’s defection to the ruling party as “unfortunate” and “treacherous”, adding that the former Senate minority leader “sneaked into our party to achieve a long-held dream of stopping an APC victory in the state.”

It pointed out that Akpabio had only recently and boldly told global television viewers that he “did not decamp from PDP but moved”.

“A chameleon does not ever hide its colours, Mr. President,” the group warned.Image may contain: one or more people, people sitting and indoor

ATA IKIDDEH, A BEWILDERED PERSONALITY OF A CON ARTIST & #419

25 Mar

By Umoh Cosmas

Image may contain: 1 person

It can be very ridiculous when a full grown man attempts to hide behind a finger. For sure, right-thinking members of the public will never take such a personality serious, no matter how much he tries to get attention, especially when his unstable antecedents are well known.
Hiding behind a finger is what Atta Ikideh has been doing ever since his failed attempt to swindle the Akwa Ibom State government through 419 proposals. He has over time latched on frivolous statistics and concocted ‘failings’ in his attempt to ridicule and downplay the achievements of the state government.

Rather than activate a self-destruct mode through blackmail and deceitful publications, Ikiddeh may do well for himself by utilizing his resources to resuscitate his stranded law career, which he abandoned here in Nigeria, having failed to make it to the Nigerian Law School. Since he made a fortune from the last administration as a willing tool of blackmail, he should make his late father and indeed the larger Ikideh family proud by investing in meaningful ventures.

Ikideh’s latest opinion piece where he asked “why is it all bad news about Akwa Ibom State from the National Bureau of Statistics?” exposes him as one with a warped imagination who eagerly awaits bad news about his native land, Akwa Ibom. He should be aware that his recent ignoble undertakings against the state government have kept right-thinking Akwa Ibom people at home and in the diaspora wondering if he does not need a mental check. They might just be right!

It is a sad commentary that one who claims to be a patriot would go in deliberate search of bad news about his state and would go further to give vigorous publicity to dubious and politically motivated negative statistics. The question is, where was Attah Ikideh when the same NBI rated Akwa Ibom state, under the leadership of Governor Udom Emmanuel as the second best destination for Foreign Direct Investment in Nigeria? How much publicity did he give to that rating?

The antics of Ikiddeh’s ilk are well known to those of us who have consistently follow developments in Akwa Ibom state. Once they fail to get what they want, they resort to blackmail and lend themselves to spent paymasters and drowning godfathers, whose trade in stock is to whip undue sentiments against a focused administration like we presently have in Akwa Ibom State.
It is public knowledge that Akwa Ibom government, through its Health Commissioner, has satisfactorily addressed the NBS rating of Akwa Ibom as the state with the highest prevalence rate in the 2018 national survey. In case Ikideh is not aware, HIV prevalence has been on the decline since Governor Udom came on board. While the state’s prevalence was 10.8% in the 2014 national survey, it dropped to 5.5% in the 2018 survey.
On the latest rating of the State as having the highest cost of living, the likes of Ikiddeh should be informed that it is not every statistics reeled out by agencies that should be taken hook, line and sinker. While an agency like the NBS may have done well in time past, it is not unlikely that its recent activities may have been politically motivated.

Dazed by the outcome of the last general elections in Akwa Ibom State, especially the sweet victory of Governor Udom Emmanuel, it is pitiful that Ikideh and his co-travellers are still befuddled, and therefore, have continued their search for anything that will keep them on the payroll of their equally stunned paymasters.
The pains of the resounding loss by Ikideh’s masters is understandable. Nevertheless, it is high time he turned a new leaf and team up with the rest of us Akwa Ibom sons and daughters who have vowed to stop at nothing is supporting Governor Emmanuel to realize the dream of a greater state, where peace, progress and development stand in bold relief.
A word is enough for the wise!

Of #Warsaw and the #VictorySong

18 Mar

By Emmanuel Ndon
Image may contain: 1 person, standing
Until late last year, very little was held about the memory of Warsaw because of its brutish elements. But the Polish city gained prominence in Nigeria’s political lexicon when former Senate Minority Leader, Godswill Akpabio defected to the All Progressives Congress (APC) with search engines linking Akpabio with entries on Warsaw.

For the purpose of a brief introduction, Warsaw was the most damaged city of World War II. The Nazis killed many more people in Warsaw than even in Hiroshima and Nagasaki which suffered atomic bomb attacks. Warsaw also achieved its prominence as the capital of Poland. The death and destruction in Warsaw resulted from a long history of anti-Polish sentiment in Germany intensified by Hitler’s antipathy towards Poland and the Polish people. Hitler saw the Jews and Slavs as the primary threat to Germany.

Senator Akpabio during the build-up to the political campaigns had threatened that the APC which he had defected to, would take over Akwa Ibom State like German dictator, Adolf Hitler, took over Poland. Speaking about his defection at a funeral ceremony in Enugu State, the Senator said “..it was watched in 59 countries and somebody asked what happened there, and I said just how it happened in Poland. When they did ask Hitler’s minister of information about the war in Poland, and he said Warsaw saw war and war saw Warsaw…I will say that in 2019 Warsaw shall see war and war shall see Warsaw. The return will be a victory. May God grant us all victory”.

Since that infamous outbursts, it was believed that Akpabio had declared war on Akwa Ibom people following his earlier promise to stop the state governor, Udom Emmanuel, from having a second term in office. And in response to that, the people also prepared to match Akpabio albeit through the ballot.

Senator Akpabio has a penchant for unguarded utterances. His Warsaw anecdotes were preceded by a series of superficial boasts which alluded to his supremacy and all-conquering personality. He had told President Buhari, prior to the elections, that he was going to deliver Akwa Ibom State to the APC in an election he said would last not more than three hours. Given such a wide mouth, nobody will doubt that Akpabio had the state in his pockets, and can trade out anyhow he wishes. In another breath, he boasted that Governor Udom Emmanuel can never get a second term because the PDP died the very day he left the party.

These and many other vituperations, to a large extent, were vexatious to the people of the state who believed strongly that Akpabio’s power and influence were bestowed on him by the people, hence he could not have been invincible.

Indeed, his utterances built up a lot of tension while everyone was surprised over the sinister intention of Akpabio to unleash terror on the very people who made him ascend the throne, and on whom he still intends to represent in the National Assembly. The same feeling resonated at the party. The Peoples Democratic Party has been the party of the people and it was the same platform Akpabio rode to power, yet the same party he chose to abandon without any reasonable explanation. This explains why Senator Akpabio could not win a return ticket to the Senate. It was never in any way a result of compromise or manipulation but a perfect resolve of the people to whom power belongs.

To a large extent, the people’s resolve and prayers doused the mounting tensions and storms which gathered during the elections. Truly speaking, the All Progressives Congress bigwigs had orchestrated some dangerous gambits capable of instilling fear and violence in the state. It was strange to find the Army, for instance, launch Operation Show of Force few days to the election, in spite of the widely acknowledged peaceful nature of the state. Prior to the elections too, the commissioner of police had been changed twice. There were viral videos and audios exacerbating drums of war.
Indeed, most of these threats came to be during the election. On the first date where elections were eventually postponed, at least ten vehicles conveying electoral materials and personnel were burnt in Obot Akara in Akpabio’s Ikot Ekpene senatorial district. During the presidential and national assembly elections, Senator Akpabio was said to have allegedly abducted electoral officials in a bid to manipulate election figures. The same incident was also reported against him during the governorship and House of Assembly polls of March 9.

On Wednesday, stakeholders of the Peoples Democratic Party in Ikot Ekpene senatorial district unveiled the many atrocities the senator and his agents and supporters allegedly committed during the election. At a press conference led by the party leader in the area, Chief Michael Afangideh, the party highlighted how electoral officials were manhandled in PDP strongholds in a bid to falsify election results in favour of APC.

Part of the communique read: “That after INEC had distributed materials to the Voting Units andPoints; Senator Godswill O. Akpabio used Military men in Armoured Vehicles and “Policemen” in 6 Hilux Vehicles to pack Election Materials and Ad-hoc Staff of INEC in some Wards and Units into his Coaster Bus and took them to the compound of Barr. Ibanga Akpabio where APC members thumb-printed the ballot papers in favour of APC. The Wards/Units affected were as follows:- (i) All the Units in Ukana West Ward 2 (ii) All the Units in Ukana West Ward 1 (iii) All the Units in Ukana East Ward1 (iv) All the Units in Ekpenyong Ward 1 (v) All the Units in Odoro Ikot Ward 2. The above malpractice was immediately reported by PDP Agents in the Units, Wards and Local Government to the Electoral Officer, Essien Udim Local Government Area in writing”.

It said, “Senator Godswill O. Akpabio used his brother, SUPOL Idorenyin Akpabio, who is O/C, Anti-Robbery at the Akwa Ibom State Police Headquarters, Ikot Akpan Abia, in company of other policemen to shoot gun from Unit to Unit in the said Wards of theL.G.A to carry INEC materials and arrest some PDP supporters who were detained on that Election Day at Essien Udim Divisional Police Cell, Nto Nsek. Those detained were only released at the night of the Election Day”.

The stakeholders rejected totally the published Results of the 2 Wards of Adiasim and Ukana East which they said were procured under duress, and urged Senator Godswill O. Akpabio, “our son, to desist from further advertising of his declining and dwindling political status in the Country by false Press interviews that deepen his failing image before reasonable thinking members of the Nigerian society”.

Other instances of Senator Akpabio’s unguarded utterances could be traced to the past. During his reign as governor, the first of such missiles was his attack on his predecessor, Obong Victor Attah, whom he accused of leaving behind an empty treasury. This verbal attack ensured that Akpabio remained on a collision course with the elder statesman all through is eight-year tenure.

Akpabio had also bragged that he alone could determine who becomes what in the state. Thus, other than his official status as governor, he also ordained himself kingmaker of the state. At one occasion, he had intimated how he replaced the winner of an election by the crossing of his name.

His electoral conquests were often characterized by needless battles. This had set off a series of atrocities including kidnapping, assassination, etc, which characterized his eight-year reign of terror. A typical instance was the 2011 elections where so many people were kidnapped or assassinated as well as the theatre of blood which political campaigns eventually became. Thus, it was not to be taken with kid gloves when he proclaimed his Warsaw saw war and war saw Warsaw.

It must be noted that Senator Akpabio’s political life has been mendacious. Even when he preached zoning of political offices in the state, it was nothing more than rhetoric. For instance, everybody knew that Eket senatorial district would produce a governor after him, many including him had thought it would go to Oron extraction. Akpabio had nominated two people from Oron with corresponding empowerment with political appointments only to abandon them thereafter.

When he was about to step down as governor, his senatorial ambition was against the zoning principle in Ikot Ekpene. As at that time, it was the turn of Abak 5, but he overruled it. He got away not only because he was governor, but because he had the love and support of the people.
The lesson here is that his political exploits did not necessarily emanate from his prowess, but flowed from the kind support of the people. It must also be said here that in spite of his reign of terror, he could still sail through because the people were still behind him. His downfall came the very day he left the PDP because he lost the support of the people. Note also that the people here are at home with the PDP. His rejection by the people could be seen from the number of people that followed him to the APC – a paltry two commissioners (one his blood brother) and an initial one House of Assemblymember (from his constituency).

Evidently, his fall is a massive failure. Of course, it came first from his very own constituency. And then all the five former House of Assembly members that were to join him later in the APC, all lost their elections. It is the same story with the former commissioner who contested for Oron federal constituency seat. This is the testimony of a man who has been rejected along with everyone around him.

Senator Akpabio must begin to learn lessons in leadership. First, he must admit that the people made him and not otherwise. That the pride and arrogance to which he was soaked, are as always, the banana peels of leadership.
In this direction, it was unwise for the Senator to deride the outcome of the elections because of his failure. This is perhaps the first time any election conducted in the state has been peaceful, despite his threats of war. It is the first time campaigns went without blood – no kidnapping, no assassination, no gunshots anywhere. Now, peace has come to stay in Akwa Ibom State. Let the wickedness of the wicked come to an end. Akwa Ibom has been liberated from bondage, cultism, and occultic affiliations.

Akpabio only needs to retrace his steps and beg for forgiveness from Akwa Ibom people less he sinks into the abyss. As he rightly noted in his Warsaw chants, the return has brought victory, albeit not for him but for the people and the state.

NIGERIAN REPRESENTATIVE DEMOCRACY UNDER ASSAULT WITH BUHARI:

30 Jul
By Dr. Inyang Oduok

Where are you going, Lord? Simon Peter Asked Jesus. “You cannot follow me now where I am going” Jesus answered Simon Peter, but later you will follow me.

Jesus knew he was on the way to the cross and advised Simon Peter against following him at the peril of his life. He knew Simon Peter could not endure the sufferings he was just about to go through on the cross.

The just-concluded Ekiti governorship race provokes similar question that Simon Peter asked Jesus, where is our nation heading to?

The result of the EKITI governorship race where APC is said to have defeated P.D.P. incumbent governor of the state, whose performances in office and personal attributes have never been questioned nor in doubt, provides disturbing and bleak answers as to what direction the Buhari Presidency is taking the country.

The incumbent governor is reported to have lost the election amidst widespread rigging, ballot stuffing, violence, murders, abuses and misuse of national law enforcement powers by Buhari administration.

Information reaching us is that it was like Buhari’s APC was marching to war and conquests. He dispatched in excess of 400, 000.00 armed officers to EKITI state during the governorship race. This cast a heavy shadow over the head of state’s intent in states such as Rivers, Bayelsa and Akwa Ibom states in the coming 2019 Presidential, Governorship, Senate, and House races.

Lawless acts taken in violation of free and fair election Act is void and so is the election result- the direct product of such unlawful acts. That Buhari administration has declared the election free and fair is of no consequence.

We saw it coming people. The concept of a representative democracy in Nigeria is over with a dictator as the head of state.

Ekiti governorship race is a harbinger of what lies ahead for the country. Our future is uncertain in the hands of a tyrant.

Buhari is on the move to undermine every institution that gives our representative democracy its true meaning.

We venture to predict that should the trend continue to 2019 Presidential and Governorship races, we will inevitably find the nation consumed in another bloody civil war.

The Assistant Inspector General in charge of zone 2 command, AIG Adamu Ibrahim has upheld the recommendation of police disciplinary body that recommended dismissal of four policemen attached to Special Anti Robbery Squad Ikeja, Lagos (SARS).
The four policemen who were dismissed and subsequently charged to court on offences of Armed Robbery, Kidnapping, Unlawful detention, Intimidation and threatening violence being the report of the Investigation carried out against them when one Mr Chukwudi Godwin Odionye popularly referred to as ‘Bishop’ submitted a petition against the four on 2nd day of May 2018.
The petitioner in his petition stated that on the 4th of June 2017, he was in his house around Alagbado Lagos when the four armed men stormed his house to effect his arrest on the allegation of performing ‘FAKE’ miracles. He stated that after his arrest, he was taken to one hotel at Agege where he was detained and threatened to be killed if he fails to cooperate. He explained further that on the following day 5th June 2017, he was taken to bank where he was made to transfer seven million Naira to one of the operative’s account.
On the receipt of the petition the AIG ordered Investigation into the case.
On the strength of Investigation it was revealed that no proper police procedure for Investigation was followed in Mr chukwudi’s arrest and that the four SARS operatives actually abducted the man from his house and Unlawfully detained him in the hotel under the guard of the suspects for personal gain.
The police men:
Sgt Adeoye Adekunle
Sgt Adenira Adebowale
Sgt Agbi Lucky
Sgt Odighe Hehosa
Who were subsequently found guilty during the orderly room trial for professional misconduct, corrupt practices and discreditable conduct were dismissed and consequently charged to court on criminal charges of Armed Robbery, Kidnapping, Unlawful Detention, Stealing, Intimidation and threatening violence.
The Police Public Relations Officer of zone 2 command, CSP Dolapo Badmos while parading the suspects reiterated the AIG’S directive that the force will not tolerate any act of misconduct that undermines the value of International best practices of policing as she stated further that any police officer or men found guilty will not be spared.

Beware of the mystery shopper scam

22 Jun

#GFK #Secret #Shopper

The mystery shopper scam has been stealing money from unsuspecting victims for years.

It begins when you answer an advertisement or an email to become a “mystery shopper” —  someone hired by a company to shop at a certain store and then report on the experience for quality control purposes

Secret shopper 1

.

The tipoff that these solicitations are scams can be immediate and obvious. Consider this copy of an email for a mystery shopper scam that I recently received, with its glaring grammatical errors and missing words:

“Hello, We are a company engaged in the mystery shopper field.
We need a team filled some people with age, residence location, experience and other different.

“Description;

“You will be assigned to visit the shop, store, bank, etc
You have to pretend to be normal potential customers who’re looking for a specific product/service
You will then complete questionnaires online to share with us your customer’s experience
Get $350/assignment, at least 2 assignments/week will be assigned.

“Requirements;

“18 years old or above
Can read and write English
Can speak the local language well”

And the registration part,

“Registration;

“If you are interested reply this email fill out the information below to get started:”

. . . Which asks for name, address, etc., . . .

“So we can look at your distance from the locations which you have to put your service, and your address would also be the need for your payments.”

The bottom of the email identified a copyright date of 2005-2017 for the “Agent Center for Mystery or secret Shoppers.”

One reason this type of scam works so well is that there are real mystery shopper jobs. But keep in mind that so many people are interested in this work that the real mystery shopper companies have no need to advertise to hire people. So, they do not send out unsolicited emails such as the one above.

Once a victim takes the bait, they are sent what may appear to be a certified check. The victim is instructed to deposit it into his or her bank account and use the money to make the assigned purchases.  The check is for more than the amount the mystery shopper is instructed to spend.

The victim is told to keep a specified amount as payment and wire back the remaining funds.  It is only after the money has been wired from the victim’s own bank account that the victim learns that the check was counterfeit and has bounced. Of course, the funds wired from the victim’s bank account to the scammer are gone forever without any effective recourse.

This problem is made worse because banks give provisional credit to deposited checks after a few days so it could appear at first glance that the check has cleared and the funds are fully available.   But provisional credit can be rescinded once a check bounces.   It can take weeks for a check to fully clear and the funds actually be transferred into the account of the person receiving the check.

Many victims of the mystery shopper scam have thought they were prudent because they waited a few days to confirm (or so they thought) that the check was legitimate. Only later do they find out they only had received provisional credit for a check that was in the end no good.

The sending of a check for more than is actually owed and requesting the remainder be wired back is the basis of many scams. These include the sale of products in response to online advertisements placed by legitimate sellers who are scammed into sending their own money to scammers pretending to purchase their items for sale.

Another variation of the mystery shopper scam involves thieves that solicit payments for information about becoming a mystery shopper or offering a certification program or registration program for which you have to pay.

MSPA Americas, which was formerly known as the Mystery Shopping Providers Association of North America, is a trade organization made up of legitimate mystery shopping companies.  Scammers will often send emails or make telephone calls posing as either MSPA Americas or one of its member companies.  But of course neither the MSPA Americas nor any of its member companies will ever ask you to deposit checks and wire excess funds to them.

So how do you recognize and avoid this scam?

1.  Simply ignore emails or advertisements for mystery shopper jobs.  They are scams.
2.  Research online particular mystery shopping companies you may want to consider contacting to make sure they are legitimate.
3.  Don’t pay a fee to get a list of mystery shopping opportunities.
4.  Don’t pay to become certified as a mystery shopper.
5.  Always be skeptical when you are asked to wire money in any business transaction.  Unlike credit card payments where you can get fraudulent payments erased or sending a check that you can stop payment on, wired funds are irretrievable from the moment they are sent.

And the most important tip of all:

6.  Never deposit a check for more than you are owed and wire money back to the person sending you the check, and never consider a payment you receive by check as being in your account until it has fully cleared.
